Coach Oscar Viteri Recognized as One of New Jersey’s Winningest Varsity Girls Coaches

SNK’s own Coach Oscar Viteri has been recognized by NJ.com as one of the winningest Varsity Girls Soccer coaches in New Jersey, an honor that reflects decades of dedication, leadership, and exceptional achievement on the field. His outstanding career record of 382–160–31 is a testament to both his coaching excellence and the strong, competitive culture he has built throughout his tenure.

Coach Viteri’s High School Varsity coaching began in 1995 at Mount Saint Domenic Academy until taking over at Glen Ridge High School in 2001 where he transformed the girls soccer program into one of the state’s most consistently successful teams. Under his leadership, Glen Ridge captured 11 sectional championships and three NJSIAA Group 1 State Titles, cementing the program’s reputation as a powerhouse year after year. This season, he continued that tradition by guiding his team back to the sectional finals, demonstrating his ongoing ability to elevate players and compete at the highest levels.

Beyond the impressive statistics, Coach Viteri is widely respected for developing well-rounded student-athletes who embody teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship. His influence has shaped countless players and contributed significantly to the broader New Jersey soccer community.

With a career defined by excellence, longevity, and unwavering passion, Coach Oscar Viteri’s recognition as one of the state’s winningest varsity girls coaches is both fitting and well deserved. His legacy will continue to inspire future athletes and coaches for years to come.
